A new feature in Ubiquitech VDMS secures reliable continued operation without loss of any print jobs, even if a server fails.
In case the primary server goes down, the secondary server immediately takes over. It already holds the print jobs the failed primary server did not handle. It informs the embedded clients on the MFPs about "the change of guard" and performs the print jobs instead of the primary server.
This means, that a total breakdown of a server results in about a one minute delay for a few print jobs at the time of the breakdown. But no prints are lost. – This is a server breakdown the users will never notice. This is especially important if printing business-critical documents.
