Cloud printing
Ubiquitech now offers secure printing from a private cloud with access for users from many locations.
Organizations and companies often have multiple branches and buildings at different geographical locations. Users are now able to freely move between locations and conveniently access and collect their print jobs wherever convenient because now their print jobs are available on any printer / MFP at any location connected to the Cloud.
It's convenient and saves time to have print jobs available at any location and the solution is designed with minimal load on the network. Print jobs are only transferred through the cloud when requested by the user in a different location than the one where the print job was initiated.
The Cloud security key makes sure the communication between the servers is secure. As Ubiquitech print management is the most secure solution in the market, it is also possible to get full encryption of both user data and print jobs – all the way from the PC via the server(s) to the MFP.

Full encryption of print jobs
Users in military, intelligence, police, health care, and finance need full security and confidentiality for their information – even when information is printed. Many organisations are getting aware that they have high security in many ways, but they have a potential leak of information and breach of confidentiallity with the way print jobs are handled.
Ubiquitech EASY can be supplied with full encryption of print jobs – all the way from the user's PC via the EASY server to the MFP with an embedded client. This gives the highest security offered on the market.
Embedded client software for HP multifunction printers
Embedded client software for HP multifunction printers is now available. The client software for the HP MFP devices gives the full range of Ubiquitech features for secure print management. That includes secure pull printing, print/copy accounting and reporting, enforcement of print policies, and options for billing or direct payment.
The secure print management with the client for HP and the Ubiquitech EASY software can be combined with USB card readers on the MFP devices and IP card readers on network printers not able to run embedded client and show the print management interface in the display.
The solution will be sold and supported by solution partners and partners working with HP devices in each country.
Windows version of EASY
Some potential users of our EASY system have expressed an interest in a Microsoft® Windows® version. They might feel more confident with that, as they are more experienced with Windows applications. This is now possible
The Windows version is installed and handled from Windows. It uses the spool queues and other components in Windows. However, the core of the print management system is the same – and of course that goes for the clients on the MFPs, too.
The original EASY print management system is running on open platform can also run in a Windows environment. Here it runs as an open platform application independent of licenses and restrictions in Windows. However, it runs with full interaction with all the relevant hardware and user databases running in Windows environment or other systems.
- The original EASY gives extra benefits such as easier installation and support, no need for MS licenses, and it gives higher security.
- The EASY Windows may be more suitable with IT policies in some organizations.

New software release
This year’s primary update of the EASY software has now been released.
With the new version you get better get several new options and functions – like customized reports of the tracked activity in the job accounting.
It also now includes the option MultiFacility (one system for several small user organizations at the same time) and the option for user payment system.
The new version also offer many improvements in user interface, license handling, remote access for support, tracking performance, extended print policy functions and other updates. This has also led to a total rewrite of the technical manual to make it an improved support during installation and support.
The new version is now available for users via their “Support&Update” agreement.
New MultiFacility option
If you want to combine many independent users (e.g. many small companies or start-ups) in one solution, it is usually a nightmare project. It involves many domains, networks, systems and user database. Now there is a unique multi company facility option for EASY for that.
We have implemented a customized EASY MultiFacility solution for Symbion Science Park.
200 companies/researchers are served by only 10 MFPs on four addresses.
The tracking and reporting of the system makes it easy to invoice for printing – with automatic itemized reporting across all the different system of the independent users.

New president in Ubiquitech Inc, US
Phil Wheeler has been appointed president of Ubiquitech Inc. He has years of experience with Ubiquitech solutions and has extensive industry experience from companies like Sharp, Epson and Compaq. Phil Wheeler has been appointed in order to better serve the growing US market for secure print management and print job accounting solutions.
The company, which is a subsidiary of Ubiquitech A/S in Denmark, supports all partners for secure print management and print job accounting solutions throughout the US.
